Munich, July 28, 2009. As of July 31, 2009, Daniela Matei, 42, will leave ProSiebenSat.1 Group by mutual agreement to accept new professional opportunities. Matei joined ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG in mid-2007, and as Senior Vice President Group (SVP) Production and Development, she was responsible for international program planning, development of multinational TV productions, as well as other duties.

Daniela Matei earned a degree in computer engineering at the Polytechnic Institute in Bucharest. She initially worked in her field of study, but decided to move to a different industry after two years. She accepted a number of management responsibilities at Graffiti/BBDO, including Media Director starting in 1993. In 1998, Matei founded Creative Vision International, a TV production company based in Bucharest which cooperated with TV broadcasters in Eastern Europe. She served as CEO there until 2001. She then joined SBS as production and programming head with responsibility for program development and production. After SBS Broadcasting Group was acquired by ProSiebenSat.1, Daniela Matei became Senior Vice President for Production and Development.
