SevenOne International sells ProSiebens science magazine Galileo to Russia
Munich, March 12, 2007. Germanys leading sciencetainment magazine Galileo will air on Russian television on March 26, 2007. SevenOne International, the ProSiebenSat.1 Groups worldwide programming distribution company, has sold ProSiebens Galileo to the Berlin-based production company Victoria Production which produces the show for the Russian TV station STS. For a start, Victoria Production has purchased 30 episodes and more than 300 editorial reports of the successful Galileo magazine.
Apart from minor changes in particular interviews, most of the German reports will go on the air in a dubbed but otherwise unaltered version. The TV studio design of the Russian version of Galileo follows the successful German concept and has been recreated by Victoria Production. The Russian program will also bear the same title. In early 2007, the first five episodes hosted by the Russian Galileo presenter Alexander Puschnoj were filmed in a ProSieben studio in Unterfoehring near Munich. From now on, the program will be produced in Moscow. SevenOne International has already sold the program to TV stations in Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, Thailand and China.
